The Dev Onboard badge that some apps show next to the organization's name means that they are developers who actively collaborate with Uptodown. Currently, more than 80,000 developers leverage the many benefits of distribution through our marketplace. All authors with apps marked as Onboard meet one or several of these criteria:
- They are registered in Developers Console, our publishing platform.
- They have an official distribution agreement of their software with Uptodown.
- They collaborate through marketing or advertising actions with Uptodown.
- They come from the Unity Distribution Portal (UDP).
What are the advantages of being an Onboard developer?
- Being part of the largest alternative app store and collaborating in the transformation of the mobile distribution ecosystem towards a more open and fair industry.
- Access to our developer platform and support team.
- Full control over the app when publishing updates or making changes on the download tab.
- Ability to request marketing actions to increase traffic to your app.
- Build greater trust with end users by publicly exposing the collaboration.

How do I become an Onboard developer?
The registration process is completely free and is detailed in our Basic guide to register and publish apps on Uptodown. Once an account is registered, it will be possible to publish apps through our Developer Console or claim authorship of those previously published on Uptodown by our content team.
