Auto Blocker is an extra layer of security that Samsung introduced in their Android devices from One UI 6.0 onwards. Initially optional, this feature is now enabled by default in some models.
Much like Google's Play Protect service, this layer is intended to protect users against alleged threats that may derive from installing APK files from unknown sources. However, the downside is that it makes it difficult to install apps from alternative yet secure app stores such as Uptodown. Here is how to disable Auto Blocker in order to smoothly download and install apps from our marketplace:
- Access Settings on your Android device.
- Go to Security and privacy.
- Under Additional security settings, tap on Auto Blocker.
- Turn off the top right toggle.
